Dit wijkt een beetje af van het onderwerp, maar daar je in de twee landen komt: merk je een verschil in de Belgische en Nederlandse drinkcultuur? Zelf kom ik niet vaak op sociale gelegenheden maar als ik ergens op bezoek ga of er is een familiebijeenkomst dan gaat dit eigenlijk altijd gepaard met drank. De enige huishoudens die ik ken waar alcohol niet standaard in huis is zijn eigenlijk de gezinnen waarin iemand een alcoholist is die gestopt is met drinken. Het is trouwens niet alleen op bezoekjes ook tijdens het werk, middagpauze hup een paar pintjes (terwijl ik dit schrijf is het bijna twaalf uur en ik durf erop te wedden dat over een kwartiertje de terrassen weer vol zitten met mensen die pauze hebben), vrijdagnamiddag alvast tijd voor een borrel etc. Hoe gaat dit in Nederland?

Ik dronk vrijwel altijd met mijn vrouw. Alleen achteraf gezien wel meer dan zij, door stiekem extra glazen te nemen bv. En ik denk dat ik haar ook heb gebruikt om te drinken. Anyway, zij drinkt nog steeds (veel minder dan toen we samen dronken). Ik heb hierin de knop voor mijzelf omgezet. Ik ben alleen verantwoordelijk voor mijn eigen drankprobleem en ben ook de enige die het kan oplossen. Wij hebben nog steeds drank thuis staan. Dat vind ik geen probleem. Als ik namelijk wil drinken, dan zijn er zat plekken waar ik heel snel alcohol kan verkrijgen, bv de supermarkt die praktisch naast ons ligt.

Vooropgesteld dat ik niet meer drink. Het kwam praktisch neer op elke dag twee flessen wijn. Met feestjes, feestdagen, of in het weekend regelmatig wat meer. Ik begon rond een uur of vijf, half vijf als het mooi weer was, ik een moeilijke of juist succesvolle dag op het werk had, ik me zorgen maakte etc. En dan soms ook rond de lunch. Rond het avondeten en het moment van kids naar bed brengen even rust en daarna weer vol gas door tot een uur of half elf. Ik kan me herinneren dat het ook wel voorkwam dat ik later thuiskwam, door bv werk, en dat ik dan die twee flessen er in twee uurtjes doorheen joeg. Dus bij nader inzien was de hoeveelheid misschien wel leidend. Daarnaast gebeurde het natuurlijk 'vanzelf', als een soort onzichtbare macht die mij elke dag weer naar de supermarkt dreef.

Djw lieve Claudius, ga zeker niks bijkopen anders had ik het niet geleegd. Althans dat is ook onzin want deed ik hiervoor wel. Het stopt nu want ik wil dit niet zo. Fijn om even uit mijn hoofd te zijn maar helpt maar voor even. Dat weet ik. Niks op facebook zetten hoor aub.

Ik heb trouwens net mijn jongste broertje gebeld hierover. Hij is heel kwaad maar dat wist ik al. Heb er 7 leeg gegooid en drink nu de laatste. Neem wel een benzo erbij in. Nu al bevreesd over de kater straks maar goed dat hoort erbij. Hij zei dat hij mijn andere broer zou inlichten en dat wil ik niet. Daarom snel geleegd die andere blikken want die broer is niet mals in zijn manier van iets duidelijke maken in deze. Nog gelijk ook maar dat harde hou ik niet van dus opnieuw beginnen voor mij. Als ik kan slapen zal wel. Fijne dag. Morgen of overmorgen ga ik mij melden dan. Moet altijd aan Quin denken nu weet waarom. Doei.

Ah, fijn dat je vooral blij bent met je hondje @rapilos. Ik was bang dat je misschien spijt had, ik kan me zo voorstellen dat dat moeilijk is om (aan jezelf) toe te geven. Maar gelukkig is dat niet het geval.

Kent trouwens iemand het dorpje/omgeving Westergeast.Ligt in Friesland. Ik zou daar een woning kunnen kopen. Vrijstaand denk daarom ook de druk een beetje. Slaat nergens op. Klushuis dat is leuk maar ook een gok.
